we have a 3725, where we have a requirement to define one of the interfaces as both, layer 2 and layer 3. if we define that int as a switchport on a certain vlan and then define that vlan as a layer 3, would that work?
thanks...

Hi Friend,
The only way is define tha port as "switchport" and assign it to a vlan and then finally create layer 3 interface for that vlan.
But again that physical port is only a layer 2 port associated to layer 3 logical port.

Thanks for your response. We would also need to get a switchport module for that, correct?
