ASR 1001x IOS Upgrade hangs after Image Validated

Hi,

Got a new asr 1001-x out of the box, installed the new ios version on the router, and now after booting up, it hangs after the prompts get to "Image Validated". Here's how it looks like:

Not sure what is the version of IOS code here, Post complete boot process, also worth look this BUG

Try different IOS / Suggested versions to fix the issue.

Wait, WTF!

What is the model of this appliance?  Is this an ASR or a Cat9k? 

Whatever this thing is, it is booting an IOS-XE file meant for a Cat9k.

I feel so dumb lol. After changing to the "correct" ios i changed around the confreg settings. It was set to boot in rommon and I would manually boot it from there. I changed the register to 2142 and pointed it to the correct image, and it works  

What can I say, I am not an expert just yet. Thanks for the help.

Contact Cisco TAC and organize for the appliance to be replaced under "DoA".
