bandwidth restriction on asa 5512

Wanting to know what the best method is to restrict a port channel virtual interface subnet on the asa 5512x.  This would be to restrict the bandwidth to either a percentage or a fixed amount.  Traffic shaping would be more of what would be desired.

The ASA is quite limited regarding to QoS. You can't shape the traffic, but you can use the MPF to police the traffic:

1. Configure an ACL describing the traffic that should be policed.
2. Configure a class-map that matches this traffic.
3. Reference the class in a policy-map and apply the policing.
4. Apply the policy-map to an interface.
