BGP prefix is not in BGP/ IP routing table

HI guys, I am having issue on prefixes received from external BGP neighbor. I can see the number of prefixes received but they are not shown in the BGP or IP routing table. My device is Cisco WS-6509-E

with IOS 122-33.SXI4a.bin and using WS-SUP720-3B module.

For example:

core-sw01#sh ip bgp vpnv4 vrf ATLAS sum
Neighbor V AS MsgRcvd MsgSent TblVer InQ OutQ Up/Down State/PfxRcd
10.100.200.46 4 12076 98 90 19504432 0 0 00:15:19 10

But when I execute CLI sh ip bgp vpnv4 vrf ATLAS neighbors 10.100.200.46 received-routes", I could not see the routes received from neighbor 10.100.200.46 in either BGP or IP routing table.

Total number of prefixes

The output from CLI "sh ip bgp vpnv4 vrf ATLAS neighbors 10.100.200.46" has following detail:

Sent Rcvd
Prefix activity: ---- ----
Prefixes Current: 4 10
Prefixes Total: 4 10
Implicit Withdraw: 0 0
Explicit Withdraw: 0 0
Used as bestpath: n/a 0
Used as multipath: n/a 0

there is no route filter from this ebGP neighbor. Any idea?

For some reason the BGP process stuck at half way and I managed to fix the issue by hard reset the BGP session. "clear ip bgp vrf ATLAS <AS#>". Hope this info helps

Hi,

What is the output of "sh ip bgp vpnv4 vrf ATLAS"?

Hi

What you see when the following commands are executed:

show ip route vrf ATLAS

and

sh ip bgp vpnv4 vrf ATLAS neighbors 10.100.200.46 routes

Also try to execute: clear ip bgp * soft  and please try again
