Hello @sanjoy74p ,

it's not working as it boots c2960x-universalk9-mz.152-7.E7.bin instead of c2960x-universalk9-mz.152-7.E9.bin ?

can you share the boot sequence from the console and the output from the dir flash: command?

Regards, LG

Please note that older switches like the 2960 don't show the boot sequence in the config. You can verify the boot sequence with the show boot command:

Switch#show boot

BOOT path-list : flash:2960-lanbasek9-mz.150-2.SE4.bin

Config file : flash:/config.text

Private Config file : flash:/private-config.text

Enable Break : no

Manual Boot : no

HELPER path-list :

Auto upgrade : yes

NVRAM/Config file

buffer size: 65536

The 2960x is kinda different.  If you want to have multiple boot options, you need to list them in the order of preference in a single command.  For example (see below);

boot system flash:c2960x-universalk9-mz.152-7.E6.bin;c2960x-universalk9-mz.152-7.E4.bin (see corrected syntax below)
boot system flash:c2960x-universalk9-mz.152-7.E6.bin;flash:c2960x-universalk9-mz.152-7.E4.bin

You won't see them in the running config between the boot start and end markers.
