C2960X switchport mode trunk

Model: WS-C2960X-48LPS-L

OS version: 15.0(2a)EX5

VLAN: 10,20

Port configuration:

!

interface GigabitEthernet1/0/52
switchport mode trunk

!

 

Query1. Is the vlan 10,20 frame can be switched via port52 when only 'switchport mode trunk' configured?

Query2. Is port52 trunk allowed vlan all when 'switchport mode trunk' configured?

Query3. Is the vlan 1 still the default vlan ?

1. yes. you can limit VLANs using

#switchport trunk allowed vlan

command

2. yes default behavior is to allow all vlans

3. yes.

A1: Per default all active VLANs are allowed on a trunk. As in your case

A2: See the previous answer

A3: VLAN 1 is still allowed and will be untagged pr. default.

All VLANs found in the VLAN database will be allowed through because there is no limitation (default).

1. yes. you can limit VLANs using

#switchport trunk allowed vlan

command

2. yes default behavior is to allow all vlans

3. yes.
