C4K_HWFLOWMAN-4-NFEFLINTERRUPT

Hi there,

 

today I found theese log messages but I have no idea what they are about. No changes has been recently made.

Can anyone explain what is going on?

 - The particular problem won't cause any outage , because it is a cosmetic bug. As far as 'stop logging' this message, it won't prevent for this cosmetic bug to remain in place. You can however filter particular messages using the logging discriminator IOS commands. A particular example can be found in this thread :

 - Probably harmless (software bug) ; you may try recent software  releases for your platform , to avoid these messages.

This is a known issue with 4500. I'd recommend you upgrade the firmware.

thank you, I wil try to upgrade it to newer version for sure, but why these messages didnt show till now?

 - That is very difficult to assert and can have various causes, such as some new type of traffic  occurring on the network, but more likely due to internal operating parameters  and triggers of the particular supervisor.

Is there any way how to temporarily stop logging this type of messages? Because its happening on our only one production L3 switch and I cannot allow network outage during week days
