Hi,
We replaced one of our 2960 switch stack with 9200 devices. The issue we are experiencing can't ping upstream switch. All switches in stack are up. Uplink port is up. Can view upstream switch via CDP but cannot view new stack via CDP from upstream switch. Any assistance would be greatly apprepriated.
Thanks,

I had a similar issue where the switch stack was partially functioning. It seemed to be passing traffic at L2, but all L3 functionality stopped after a while. What you are describing sounds similar to what I was seeing. It turned out to be a faulty stacking cable. IOS-XE 17.x shows more detailed stats than IOS-XE 16.x - use the command 'show switch stack-ports detail' and look for errors. I was seeing massive amounts of errors on one side of a stack port. It worked for a while (up to a couple of days) and then all L3 functionality stopped.
TAC sent me a replacement cable and that fixed it.
