C9200: Configuration Application Visibility/AVC/Nbar for Vlan Interface.

Hi Guys,

I am trying to configure Application Visibility for a Vlan interface on my C9200L. As soon as the desired VLAN is added in the CLI / Webui, the error message "NBAR Error: Can not enable Protocol-discovery general error" appears.

Any ideas? (The Ethernet ports can be added easily.)

Hi,

   Have you tried from the CLI via "ip nbar protocol-discovery" ? Ensure you have logging on to spot any error messages.

Yes, get the same error:
Catalyst(config-if)#ip nbar protocol-discovery
%% NBAR Error: Can not enable Protocol-discovery general error

Hi,

   What is the interface configuration on which you're trying to enable NBAR? Can you post it? Also do you see any output on NBAR commands, like "show ip nbar attribute"?

What is the version of Code running by the Cat 9200 ?

Look at the configuration guide and pre-requisites before enabling NBAR
