C9200L as L3 switch

Hello,

I want to implement a project with 3 L3 switches. The equipment must support full L3 capabilities (especially OSPF) and multicast (PIM, IGMP). Due to budget restrictions, I cannot go with C9300, so I was thinking about C9200L with the Network Advantage (and DNA Advantage) license. According to Cisco's datasheet, the Network Advantage license supports all the requested features. Has anyone used it for a similar purpose? Do you think it is safe to choose the C9200 or the C9300 would be a better fit?

Thank you!

If you looking to deploy as Access switch, this is good to go with :   ( if you looking any other features like advanced features  VRF, more advanced routing (cat 9200 support less  - but for access layer only 1 exit to this works)

Layer 3 capabilities, including OSPF, EIGRP, ISIS, RIP, and routed access

If you have budget i prefer Cat 9300 as base model. this is again business call not technical decision based on budget.

Unfortunately the budget cannot cover the C9300.

For the implementation, practically I want to connect some streamers in one switch and some listeners in the 2 other switches and send the multicast streams (5 different streams) from the streamers to the listeners. OSPF will run between the switches and of course PIM and IGMP for the multicast. There will be no need for VRF.

Do you think it is safe to go with the 9200 or should I look for something else? For example separate switch and router (cisco 1000 series?)

you can go with Cat 9200 is good for the purpose you mentioned.
