This module has eight 10 GE slots with an SFP+ port in each slot. Each port supports a 1 GE or 10 GE connection.

Any combination of SFP and SFP+ modules are supported.

If these are not compatible today at the 10GB rate, will it be in the future with an IOS update or is it just electrically not possible with this module?

Anyone escalate this to support?

Anyone TEST this?

It's obvious why the TMGMatrix says "NO" - the module cannot work at 25gbps for obvious reasons. The question is is "will it work and be supported at 10gbps speeds"? It also stems from the fact that the newer optic is half price so may be a huge saving when you are working with large number of optic modules that make up a quarter of the budget.
