C9407 / Stackwise Virtual / Dual-Active Detection

Hello,

I have a question regarding the dual active link on a StackWise Virtual implementation (C9407R + C9400-SUP-1).

As far as I know, the SVL have to be between the Supervisor engines (10G or 40G Links).

For the dual active link, i did not find any Information. Only that it can be 10G or 1G.

Is it possible to implement the dual active Link on a copper Linecard  port?

Or is it neccessary to implement the dual active link on the Supervisor engine, too?

Kind regards,

Patrick

Okay, regarding this document, we have to use Supervisor ports for the dual active link, too.

And you need extra license to use stackwise virtual if its not sup 1 XL?

Hi, yes that´s true. We switched to the XL Sup, so it is not neccessary for us anymore.
But thanks for the hint.

Hello,

post the output of 'show lic'.

I think you need Network Advantage, which seems to be the one you have currently installed...so you should be fine. Check if the global command ' stackwise-virtual' is available...
