We are doing switch refresh on a remote site , the current stack is 2960 series switches and we are moving to 9300X stack.
One of the links on the existing 2960 stack is hardcoded to speed 100 . The link connects to ISP provider. can I hardcode a port on 9300X to speed 100 with a 1Gig copper SFP ?
Existing Config on 2960
interface GigabitEthernet1/0/36
description NGN Circuit
switchport trunk allowed vlan 200,100
switchport mode trunk
switchport nonegotiate
speed 100
duplex full
end
This is what I have configured on the 9300X. I did not have any SFPs at staging station to try if it will actually work.
interface TwentyFiveGigE1/0/15
description NGN Circuit
switchport trunk allowed vlan 100,200
switchport mode trunk
switchport nonegotiate
speed 100
duplex full

GLC-T that should work. - i have seen on other model even it say uplink 10G - GLC-T Copper works with 100MB.
by saying that the model you mentioned :
C9300X-24Y |
24 port 25G/10G/1G SFP28 |
Modular Uplinks |
715W AC |

sure you can do that if that is requirement. Depends on the Full model of the device.
if you SFP 1GB then you need to check. ( GLC-T can accept that)

So, you are connecting to the provider using a copper cable? If yes, hard coding the copper should work if not the copper ports support auto sceneing, but most providers want their customers to hard set the speed. Can you provide the exact model number? From the link below it appears that 100Mb is supported. On the other hand, this model's lowest speed is 1Gig.
C9300X-24Y |
24 port 25G/10G/1G SFP28 |

So, according to the matric compatibility, GLC-TE is 10/100/1000 as long as you are running 17.7.5 IOS or later.

Thank you @Reza Sharifi , we are running (CAT9K_IOSXE), Version 17.9.4a so should be good on that end.
