I am trying to upgrade the image on my SUP1A-MSFC to c6msfc-jsv-mz.121-26.E1. In order to do so I needed to use a flash card because the new image is too big for the bootflash. So I formatted the flash card in the CatOS and uploaded the image. I then moved over to the MSFC, upgraded the boot image to c6msfc-boot-mz.121-11b.E4 and set the bootldr and boot variables. Now here is the problem...upon reload the MSFC loads the new boot image, finds the new IOS image on the flash card but will not load it due to time out! I have tried 3 different flash cards several different images. Any ideas??
Loading slot0:c6msfc-jsv-mz.121-26.E1.bin ... [timed out]
Thanks in advance for your assistance!

There are a few "gotchas" with regard to flash card type and CAT/IOS versions.

Thanks for the reply Glen. I finally got it to work last night! After hours of searching on Cisco's website I found the answer. There is a bug in boot images below version 12.1.12 that does not allow you to boot from SUP-SLOT0. So I upgraded the boot image to 12.1.26 and we were up and running...man if I had only gone up one more rev...Thanks again for all your help!!
