Dear Sir,
i have cisco catalyst 4503 switch with SUPII+, and i want to upgrade its IOS to cat4000-i9s-mz.12.2-20.EWA2.bin, the required flash for this image is 32M.
when i do sh file system this output appear:

the Bootflash siza is 28M
and cat4000_flash is 5M
so i want to know that i can install this image,
and what is the difference between bootflash and cat4000_flash:

cat4000_flash is where the vlan.dat is store.
You can verify this by doing dir cat4000_flash
You will store the IOS image in bootflash or purchase a flash card and insert it in slot 0: for additional IOS storage.

Yes supII plus will support any images that cisco has out there . That image is really older you might want to check out the newer ones which is either 12.2.20 EWA9 or the newer 12.2.37 SG code.
