i have a brand new switch, was attempting to add the new ios on it however when i restarted the switch. It would not load up due to it failing to load packages.conf. Here is what the switch reads:
boot: attempting to boot from [flash:packages.conf]boot: reading file packages.confboot: failed to load flash:/user/packages.conf
Go to Solution.
You can boot your device in installed mode by booting the software package provisioning file that resides in flash:
Switch: boot flash:packages.conf
The packages and provisioning file used to boot in installed mode must reside in flash. Booting in installed mode from usbflash0: or tftp: is not supported.
