Hello,
I'm particularly interested in these micro series, especially in CMICR-4PT.
From what I've read in datasheet, this device can be powered by POE and can provide POE to downlink ports.
I am unsure about whether this is manage or unmanage switch.
Can I configure this like normal cisco switches?
I want to disable POE in some ports.
Also for the power option for this switch, I don't see the POE injector type to order. May I know what injector I can use?
Also, I want to use this switch as a LAN extender for installation over 100meters.
I also want to know whether I can deploy this switch for extending.
Thank you in advance.

This runs using AC/ DC PSU, Not from PoE, it deliver Poe from the switch,
it is managed Industrial switch new models, i think you can disable PoE.

The data sheet says this though?
Model | Access ports and uplinks | PoE, USB-C | Power source | Default software |
CMICR-4PS | 4x 1G, 2x 1G SFP | 4x PoE+ | DC | LAN Lite |
CMICR-4PC | 4 x 1G, 1x 1G copper, 1x 1G SFP | 4x PoE+ | DC | LAN Lite |
CMICR-4PT | 4x 1G, 1x 1G copper, 1x combo | 4x PoE+, 2x USB-C | DC, 803.2.bt, Cisco UPOE+®, PoE+ | LAN Lite |

Sure agreed, so you looking other than DC source - you want to use PoE to bootup the switch, then you need. i have purchanged one few weeks back to test PoE for Cat 9K AP, that supports (803.2.bt,Cisco UPOE+®, PoE+)

Hi
As per the data sheet this switch is DNAC ready, which means, it have manageabilty through SNMP, SSH and netconf.
About Power injector , if the doc does not mention any spefic model, I understand that they will work with market standard Power injector as there´s no specific integration between both.
"Also, I want to use this switch as a LAN extender for installation over 100meters. "
What you can safely do is run 100 meter cable from the first switch, install this switch in the end, and connect a device 100 meter far. The 100 Meter rule is about ethernet technology and not the switch itself.

The Cisco Micro switches were first announced back in 2019. Of the three models only CMICR-4PT has never been seen (including CCW). The three switches will run on the same "cut" as the 2960X, Catalyst 1000 and the IE 4000.
I heard conflicting reasons, like "lack of demand", "global chip shortage" and "future development of classic IOS".
