Hi All,
I need help in upgrading the Cisco 3850-48.
Current Running version:
Switch Ports SW Version SW Image Mode
------ ----- ----- ---------- ---------- ----
WS-C3850-48P 03.06.08E cat3k_caa-universalk9 INSTALL
Trying to do:
SW1#$ software install file flash:cat3k_caa-universalk9.16.09.05.SPA.bin switch 1-2

Note: I have upgraded other Cisco 3850 same model with the same image. They were successful as I'm not new to this.

I've seen this error message before. This is error message usually pops up in 3.6.X and 3.7.X and when the switch has a very high uptime (>1 year).

This happened to me 1 out of 5000 switches. This is a sign of a hardware failure. I replaced the switch and RMA it.
