Cisco 4506 and LLDP support

Question - does the Cisco 4506 switch chassis support LLDP?   If so, is there a document that specifies what IOS version is required?

Not sure what version you are running but LLDP support goes back to 12.2 (xx) which is at least 6 years old. So, all the newer versions of IOS and IOS-XE should support it.

I looked around and it looks like it is supported on the 4506 starting with release 12.2(44)SG.

Check if 'lldp' is an option in global configuration mode:

4506#conf t

4506(config)#lldp ?
