Cisco 9200 Stacking Procedure

Hello. I will be stacking 6 Cisco 9200 switches together soon and I just want to confirm that the stacking procedure I think I need to do is correct. I believe the steps are:

  1. Connect the stacking modules and install the stacking cables for all switches
  2. Power on the master switch
  3. Give the master switch a priority of 15
  4. Enter the switch provision command 6 times, 1 for each switch
  5. One by one power on each of the other switches

I have stacked 2 9200s a few years ago but I've forgotten what I did! Thanks very much.

Hello Pinko!

Your plan is correct. Be careful regarding the stacing ports left port on the top switch to the right port on the bottom switch, and so on. On the last switch left port to the right one on the top.

Regarding the priority setup the primary with the highest (15) and so on...
