Cisco 9300 series force 10/100

intermediate level engineer here,

Is there anyway to force a port for the 9300 series interface ports to 10mbs speed?

One of our vendors equipment requires the port to be at 10mbps. To my knowledge with the commands below, any speed lower than 100mbs is supported by auto negotiation only?

with this switch model it runs twogig and tengig ports.

-------------------------------

switch1(config-if)#speed ?

  100   Force 100 Mbps operation

  1000  Force 1000 Mbps operation

  2500  Force 2500 Mbps operation

  auto  Enable AUTO speed configuration

Hi,

That model (C9300-48UXM) supports 100Mb and above.

From the datasheet:

48 Cisco UPOE 36x 100M/1G/2.5G + 12x Multigigabit
(100M/1G/2.5G/5G/10Gbps)

The "M" in UXM means mGIG-capable ports (all of them) and UXM does not support 10 Mbps.

I agree with others UXM does not support 10MB, only UPOE models support 10MB

Other option if you have Network Modules 8NM - then you can try with GLC-T

I want to set the SFP interface speed to 1000 but no option to set speed.

10GB SFP you can not setup for 1GB here,

Get a 1 Gbps SFP.

Replace SFP 10G-SR with MMD (1GB)

Post the complete output to the following commands:

sh version
sh log | i ERR
sh interface Twe 1/0/1 status err
sh idprom interface Twe 1/0/1

Type:                  unknown

Does not seems to recognised the SFP ?
