Cisco Catalyst 6506E Error

Hi All,

 

I noticed this error on my previously ACTIVE "now STANDBY Switch"on a VSS Stack

 

System returned to ROM by s/w reset (SP by processor memory parity error at PC 0x40445D90, address 0x0)

 

is this a hardware issue?

 

Redundant System Information :
------------------------------
       Available system uptime = 5 years, 17 weeks, 3 days, 15 hours, 19 minutes
Switchovers system experienced = 1

                 Hardware Mode = Duplex
    Configured Redundancy Mode = sso
     Operating Redundancy Mode = sso
              Maintenance Mode = Disabled

              Standby Location = slot 1/5
        Current Software state = STANDBY HOT
       Uptime in current state = 44 weeks, 2 days, 22 hours, 8 minutes

One, this is a SOFTWARE issue on the switch processor part of the line card.

Next, this event happened 44 weeks ago.  I am actually surprised no one noticed.

First Check the Sho Version command output
"Configuration register = 0x2142 (will be 0x2102 at next reload)"

RPI1R03CSW001-sdby#show bootvar
BOOT variable does not exist
CONFIG_FILE variable does not exist
BOOTLDR variable does not exist
Configuration register is 0x2142 (will be 0x2102 at next reload)

Apparently end-user smartnet is expired.
