Sounds like an IOS bug.  Upload a different IOS version and see if it's any better.

This is a Sup720 & it has a CF slot in front.  Is there a CF card available?

can i upload this one ? s72033-psv-mz.122-18.SXD4.bin and also please tell me which is fastest way to upload ios on flash i already spend 6 hour to upload ios please tell me fastest way to upload ios in flash before i m using xmodem method have any other idea

Yes cf card are available are but they dont dectect in romon mode i copy ios with  in cf diskflash but they don't detect in romon mode also i check (rommon 3 > dir disk0:
device does not contain a valid magic number
dir: cannot open device "disk0:")

Is the CF inside a Cisco-branded variety?

@ Leo Laohoo yes CF cisco branded variety i purchase from Local market

Try this:

flash_init
load_helper
dir disk0:

If it still doesn't work, can you re-format the CF with FAT16 and try again?

still same in rommon mode i format cf and in to fat 16 but not detect Roman mode.jpg

The CF is dead.

i have 5 cf its meas  all of that are dead ?

Use the ROMmon process. You can speed up the transfer by setting the baud rate to 115200.

@Leo Laohoo can you please write down here complete command to xmodem to transfer .and tell me which ios is the best have not no bug can you please tell me the ios name rightnow i trying to upload s72033-psv-mz.122-18.SXD4.bin

Read Recovering a Catalyst 6500/6000 Running Cisco IOS System Software from a Corrupted or Missing Boot Loader Image or ROMmon Mode

Go down to Recovery Procedure section and look at Step 7.

Otherwise, contact Cisco TAC for assistance or RMA.

Hi,

In addition to my previous post please note that if your CompactFlash memory card is of 512MB capacity this must be installed in the DISK 1 slot.

Best regards,

Antonin
