Hi everyone! I had a problem while I was trying to downgrade my c9200 from 17.09.04 to 17.06.05, it displayed a weeor message:
install_add: Adding IMG
[1] Switch 1 FAILED: /mnt/sd3/user requires 514791 KB of free space, but only 266332 KB is available
FAILED: add_activate_commit /mnt/sd3/user/cat9k_lite_iosxe.17.06.05.SPA.bin Wed Nov 08 05:13:06 UTC 2023
After confirming I know that 17.09.04's files are in use and using a lot of space of the flash, so I'm wondering is it possible to deactive these files first and then remove them so that I can proceed to downgrade with the 17.06.05's file?

Hello!
The 9200 should have more than enough space to facilitate both images + install .pkg's. So check the bootflash for any older images. You can also use install remove inactive to delete unused images and .pkg's. The command may also remove the 17.6.5 from flash so you might have to copy it again.

Post the complete output to the command "dir".

Thank you all for the reply and the assistance somehow I found a way to solve this!
By default the IOS version was 17.09.04, I changed the boot variable into 17.06.05's bin file, then proceeded with the downgrade instructions then the device successfully downgraded to 17.06.05
