Hi,
I have an 1841 router and its 2 slots are empty. I also have 2 Cisco APs (1142s) which I am planning to have them get their power from some PoE device.
If I purchase this Cisco HWIC-4ESW-POE card, will this be enough to power up to 4 PoE devices like my Cisco APs? Or do I need to purchase anything else in addition to this part Cisco HWIC-4ESW-POE?
Thanks

Won't work. HWIC-4ESW is supported ONLY. PoE variety won't be supported (see Table 5 below).

The HWIC ports don't support PoE on the 1841:
"In addition, the HWIC slots support Cisco product-based inline power and PoE. However, PoE is not offered on the HWIC slots of the Cisco 1841 router. "
