Cisco switch grounding

I've searched for information on grounding of cisco switches on this forum, but found the answers vague.

Is it necessary to run a separate ground from the switch to the cabinet chassis and if so where do you connect (most switches don't have grounding screw)?

Is the ground prong on the power connector sufficient?

I might also mention the cabinets we are using are grounded using bonding kits. Thanks

boondocker,

No these are not necessary. The ground pin on the mains power is sufficient assuming the power setup accounts for this.

Kind regards,
Luke
