Hello Everyone!

We have a parking lot switch wich is WS-C3850-48P and uplink port goes through GigaBeam LR-Ubiquity link back to the distrbution switch, I checked everything on the ubiquity link including alignment and power, including port duplex but still the Link goes up and down. you can take a look at the topology I attached to understand more of the setup.

on the distrbution side we have C6880-X-LE port TenGigabitEthernet1/1/16 with 1GB copper SFP and here is the output of the interface:

TenGigabitEthernet1/2/16 is up, line protocol is up (connected)
  Hardware is C6k 10000Mb 802.3, address is 08ec.f5a1.329b (bia 08ec.f5a1.329b)

Here is the config on both side as well :

interface GigabitEthernet1/0/1

 switchport trunk native vlan 888
 switchport trunk allowed vlan 124,224,400,803,923
 switchport mode trunk
 switchport nonegotiate
 spanning-tree portfast disable
 ip dhcp snooping trust
end

interface TenGigabitEthernet1/2/16
 description prklt-Gi1/0/1
 switchport
 switchport trunk native vlan 888
 switchport mode trunk
 switchport trunk allowed vlan 124,224,400,803,923
 switchport nonegotiate
 logging event link-status
end

any idea why I have input errors and CRC ? I changed SFP , Cables and ports but still no luck. appreciate anyone comment and solution

Steps  to troubleshoot :

1. is the Wireless Link stable ?

2. Looks like you have Link negotiation issue between 2 sides

3. since its Ethernet, can you connect the Laptop both the side and check is the stable ?

4. what is the distance between adaptor and switch port.

Hi Balaji!

  1. yes the link is stable and is not that far away
  2. I checked the negotiation and both sides are on Auto
  3. I ping the PC to PC and nothing drops
  4. between adaptor and switch is 5ft

including port duplex but still the Link goes up and down

when this goes down, both the side one side.

can you post the log when it go down and come up

if the other SW have problem it down the link and your SW detect this down and also down link but the log in your SW dont show the issue that make link down since it happened in other SW

on the Distrbution side I don't see the link goes up/down and here is the log from this side it

you have input,

I hope you do not have any loops here other than a bridge link between these two devices.

when it goes down it seems like from the remote side not the Distrbution side. but other than that bridge link we don't have any loop connection between two building
