Hi,

My switch is having some problem.I am seeing all these.

Switch#show mod

Can i reset the second sup remotely using this command.

hw-module module 2 reset or

ask someone to pull the card physically(Hot swappable)

Does it have any impact on the switch.

Hello Arun,

you can try to reload the module with

hw-module module 2 reset

if this is not enough have someone to reseat the card but verify it is hot-swappable I always powered off the switch when dealing with supervisors

It looks like to be hot-swappable

All modules in a 6500 chassis are hot-swappable, including the supervisors. This is called online insertion and removal. There is a very small but real risk that there could be a switching bus stall when any module is inserted or removed and the system is in centralized forwarding mode.
