Hi,
I would like to start moving the DHCP role from our core switch to a Windows Domain Controller for one of our locations. I would like to test this by disabling one DHCP scope on the core switch. Can someone provide any documentation or procedures for shutting down one scope and have the DC take over? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

I think all you need to do is put an ip helper on the interface you want to forward dhcp requests on pointing to the DC. You may need to issue a "no ip dhcp pool x" command on the switch that has the pool you want to disable. To be safe I would copy the dhcp pool commands from the running config so you can put them back if needed. Also make sure you enable the new dhcp pool on the DC. First time I setup a new pool on a DC I didn't enable it and I spent a bit troubleshooting why my clients were not getting dhcp addresses.
