Cross stack etherchannel

Dear all,

I am in the process of planning the configuration of a new Etherchannel from our 3750-24-TS switches to our 4507's.

We currently have 2 x server racks each with 2 x 3750's in them. Each of the 3750's is currently connected back to a 4507 via 2 x SFP (RJ45) modules (there is a 2Gb etherchannel configured between each 3750 and their respective 4507).

What I plan to do is to stack each pair of 3750's and then create 1 x 4Gb EC back to their respetive 4507.

I have upgraded the IOS on all 3750's to the same revision (12.2(25)SED1) so that I can use the cross stack etherchannel feature.

Could somebody clarify that a LACP EC is the way to go in order to have a single 4Gb EC ? (I have tried using PAgP but the 3750 stack states that the interfaces need to be on the same switch when configuring the PAgP EC).

I have attached the proposed config to this call for referecne.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, LACP will work.

Keep in mind, you need to have the same configuration on the physical interfaces as the port-channel interface.

HTH and good luck.
