Hi Mahesh,
I was able to check that 12.3 main releases do not support 256 MB on router DRAM - thus you see only 128 (maximu supported by IOS).
Support fo that started on 12.3(11)T and 12.4T & 12.5M.
Check this for more info:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/routers/ps259/prod_bulletin0900aecd801e3d53.html
Following command will show how many DRAm slots used and it's capacity.
show c2600
Show ver is showing memory based on IOS capability.
You can rate if was helpfull.

Hi mahesh,
for this router 128Mb is good enough. As long as the image supports it, you can run most of the routing protocols and tun on other features.

Why did you have to downgrade it ?
11-07-2011 06:28 AM
Hi Glen.
Thanks for reply.
Only reason i downgrade was that 12.3 supports MPLS.
I was trying to config MPLS on my LAB routers.
As version 12.4 does not support MPLS.
Thanks
MAhesh

Hi,
Thanks for great info.
Is those versions support MPLS ?

Hi,
Many thanks for great info.
One last thing as now Router is only using 128MB so remaining DRAM is not utilised right?
will only using 128 MB DRAM slow down the speed of router?
Thanks

Thanks Reza one again

Hi Mahesh,
Lets try this:
delete the existing image and load this one (below again)
This requires only 128Mb memory and 32Mb Flash so you should be fine
