Everything I find says I have to enable BPDU filtering on an interface so that it will not errdisable when trunking a switch. This of course prevents me from dual homing a switch. Am I missing something? Is there a way to configure an interface on the Nexus platform still BPDU packets to flow and participate in spanning tree?

Tyler,
The FEXs can be uplink dually to Nexus 5ks or 6ks or singly to 7ks. The FEXs are not designed to connect to other switches but rather used for end device connectivity.

Yes, you can plug a switch directly to the 5k, 6k or 7k.

OK, that is what I was suspecting. It appears though I can plug a switch into a Nexus switch directly without disabling BPDU filtering.
