Enable Openflow on Catalyst 3850 IOS XE 16.12.1

Hi,

 

Based on this guide https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/ios-xml/ios/prog/configuration/1612/b_1612_programmability_cg/openflow.html, I want to enable Openflow on my Catalyst 3850 switch. It has IOS XE version 16.12.1.

 

However, I am having issue with boot mode is an invalid input as shown in diagram below

Any ideas?

Hi @Leo Laohoo and @balaji.bandi, thank you for your reply. I found out that Catalyst 3850 series does not support OpenFlow which is why it does not work. I upgraded the switch to Catalyst 9300 series and enabling OpenFlow works. Thank you.

Please do not use 16.12.X.

Personally i stick with - cat3k_caa-universalk9.16.09.06.SPA.bin  (its been stable for Long in our environment)

 

If you looking to use still 16.12.X
