Hi - i have a pair N9K 93180YC-EX, and they have a number of FEX's connected to them. We moved all the hosts off -one- of the FEX's, and it was then either unplugged from the parent switches or powered down (im not sure i wasn't involved in the physical work). If i do a 'show run' i still see the FEX Interfaces;
show run
--snip--
interface Ethernet151/1/1
description Server
switchport access vlan ##
spanning-tree port type edge
spanning-tree guard loop
logging event port link-status
no shutdown
But I can't configure the interfaces;
Nexus-A# conf t
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
Nexus-A(config)# interface Ethernet151/1/1
^
Invalid range at '^' marker.
Nexus-A(config)#
So - how do i get these interfaces to disappear from the config? I have removed / default config'ed the Physical FEX fabric interfaces, deleted the Port-Channel and removed the Fex 151 global FEX config, but the interfaces still appear in a show run.
The issue is they are monitored in our NMS system and i cant get them to be removed from the NMS system if they still appear in the running config, so they are still monitored and showing as down (alarm) even though they dont exist.
Thanks for any assistance with this.

Hi,
Try this command:
switch(config-fex)#
no fex <fex number>
HTH

i *believe* i have already done this - part of my decomission process was;
conf t
!
no fex 151
I note in your config example, it shows the command being run from (config-fex) context, but i dont think that would have any effect on the command being run. There is no fex 151 showing in the running config for the switch

can you post below output :
show version
show fex (from both the switches)
show run | in fex

Hello @luke.brooker1,
Try no fex <id> and no feature-set fex if you do not plug fex.
