GLC-GE-100FX 1.0 V03 on 3850-24S-S

Hello everyone
i have a problem with GLC-GE-100FX
I need to install 24 GLC-GE-100FX 1.0 V03 in a 3850-24S-S.
The first 12 are recognized while the other 12 are unknown.

I try to install 24 spf 1.0 V02 and I am acknowledged all of them.

I try to update the IOS version, as recommended by cisco https://tmgmatrix.cisco.com/?tpid=40, with version 16.6.1.
GLC-GE-100FX 1.0 V03 is recognized but does not work.

Can anyone tell me how I can solve the problem?

- Anything in the logs when the none-working SFP's are plugged in and or if link-attempts are being made ?

Hi,

Are you using Multimode Fiber with this SFP?

If some work and some don't, you may want to swap the stands on one the non-working one and test.

On the topic of MMF vs SMF with the GLC-GE-100FX.

I too did some testing in the Lab with this SFP in combination with MOXA 100BaseFX (MMF or SMF ) and 100BaseLX10 (SMF) media converters and was not/never able to make any combination work with SMF patch cords.

(as one can with the [GLC-FE-100FX] and must [GLC-FE-100LX] )

Sounds like a bug to me. Upgrade to the latest 16.6.X and try again.

Be careful of CSCvq53573.

I think so, I have installed the IOS version 16.12.3 and everything works.
