How can I delet file from a 4948 switch

I cannot upload a new image to one of our 4948 switch because there is no space. See the output that I checked with different commands:

You can use the delete flash:cat4500-ipbase-mz.122-46.SG.bin command, be sure to upload the new image and set the boot variable before reloading the switch.

Hi,

You can get rid of these files by issuing the command "squeeze bootflash:". Please note that there is no way to recover these deleted files after you issue this command.

Great. That's the command I am looking for. See the space released after the process.

lhcb1r91-4948tg-124#squeeze bootflash:

All deleted files will be removed. Continue? [confirm]

Squeeze operation may take a while. Continue? [confirm]

Squeeze of bootflash complete

BTW, newer IOS disk formats no longer need to "squeeze".  Just doing a delete will recover the space.  Depending on the vintage of the device, and its IOS, you may need to reformat the flash to get the newer format.
