Hi
I have to paths to our data center. I would like to increase the path cost of the secondary link so that the primary link will be used for Vlan 1.

Config example for the secondary link:
conf t
interface gig1/0
spanning-tree vlan 1 cost 20
Cheers:

Hi
attached is a current Cost flow for vlan 1 which works correctly all vlan1 traffic goes via the primary link and the blocking is done via the secondary link.
The proposed diagram we remove CS_2 from the network and connect the two cables into a layer 2 switch to directly connect the two networks when we do this the blocking moves from Dis_2 and we have intermittent connection on vlan 1. Could the problem be that Dis_2 doesnt block and this has caused the problem?

Which switch is the root switch?

Hi MT_CS_1 is the root switch for vlan 1

If MT_CS_1 is the root, then DIS_2 roop port should be interface 1/1 and it's desginated port should be port 1/2.
If there is intermittent connectivity - then your problem lies in dis_1/sg_1/sg_2 - you need to look in there.
