Hi,
Can you please advise on how to clear vty line? Please see below. A sh tcp <line number> shows that the TCB is waiting for TCP Process. The TCP processs TCB is waiting for is SSH. I believe because of this ssh process still running, the vty line cannot be cleared.
Can you please advise if this is the case and how do we resolve the problem.
TIA.

Hi,
Try the following:
show tcp brief //find corressponding TCB#
clear tcp tcb
You may also want to add service tcp-keepalives-in for make the 6500 clear any hung sessions.
Kind Regards,
Ivan

Leo,
Thanks for your reply. I have tried it before. It will accept the command but will not clear it.
Thanks.

Ivan,
Thanks for you reply. We have service tcp-keepalives-in configured.
I did the following. Is it right? It didn't seem to work.
Thanks.

Could you share the IOS version, please? Also, were any show commands with redirect option used?

Ivan,
Thanks very much for your direction. It is working now. After clearing of tcp tcb, the tcb came up with the status "closed". A clear line will remove it then.
Again thanks vey much.
