Hi Team,
I have a requirement to do vlan bridging. That is My core switch has vlan 101, which connects to the MPLS router. And users from branch officer reach HQ via MPLS -> Core Switch.
And server segments-1 is located under vlan 105. ans server segment-2 is located under van 110.
I need to install traffic optimizer ( RIverbed Steelhead ) to optimize some filtered user traffic, whic his sent for server segment-2. Using vlanl bridging. ( Riverbed also will be connected to the core switch.
that is say user source ip : 192.168.114.0/24 , server segment-2 : 192.168.101.160/29
I want your help to know,
1. How vlan bridging works and how to configure ?
2. Can we filter specific source & destination address based traffic only to be bridged to riverbed ?
thank you.

Hello,
can you post a schematic drawing of your current setup, and indicate what you are trying to achieve ?

Hello
it seems to me that you need inpath RB so I t connects between you lan and wan rtr.
so to do this you:
1)connect the lan Interface from your wan rtr into the RB lan port -(normal straight through cable)
2) connect crossover cable from RB wan port into wan rtr
3) connect the a RB mgt primary port into access port(your mgt vlan) of switch So you can admin the RB remotely
