Hi All.
I am trying to get a pair of Nexus 7702's to join multiple HSRP groups already configured on a pair of CAT 6006's RSM's.
We have made sure all the timers are the same and that the HSRP version is v1. We have also added authentication to the 6006 as its clear text default on the Nexus.
There does appear to be some sort of negotiation with the 6006 seeing its standby flip from the other 6006 to the standby Nexus, but the Active Nexus and the Active 6006 do not appear to negotiate to be the active device.
The priorities are the 2 6006's, so 110 and 100, then the Nexus at 90 and 80.
we have also removed the Vlan from the peer gateway on the Nexus.
Is there an inoperability between the 2 devices or are we missing something?
