Hello,
We are having AV equipment installed in our office but the installation team is having issues getting the hardware to connect via its URL. We have been asked to verify that HTTPS is running on the LAN the devices are connected to. Looking at the switch configuration, both 'ip http server' and 'ip http secure-server' have been configured.
Running 'show ip http server status' confirms that it is enabled. We have nothing blocking access in our firewall rulebase - am I looking at the correct commands? Thanks in advance.

Hello Pinko,
The configuration you are refering to is for the webgui access to the switches, so I belive this is not the one in question.

AV usually communicate to the "mothership" using multicast. If the installers/vendors cannot tell the difference between a multicast and an HTTPS, then I suggest everybody run to the hills. Fast.
@pinko, please ask the vendor if the AV equipment supports RFC 1149 (aka IPoAC) or not.
