I have an IE-2000U-4TS-G that is only showing 134MB of the Cisco 1GB SD Card.
Switch#dir
Directory of flash:/
No files in directory
134086656 bytes total (134078464 bytes free)
Switch#sh plat sdflash
SD Flash Manufacturer : SMART MODULAR (ID=27h)
Size : 972MB
Serial number : 6D326BA7
Revision : 3.0
Manufacturing date: 4/2017
I have done a format /recursive flash: and then performed an fsck
Switch#fsck
Fsck operation may take a while. Continue? [confirm]
mifs[10]: 0 files, 1 directories
mifs[10]: Total bytes : 134086656
mifs[10]: Bytes used : 8192
mifs[10]: Bytes available : 134078464
mifs[10]: mifs fsck took 0 seconds.
Fsck of flash: complete
Any assistance would be much appreciated.

- Does this also happen when the SD Card is used on another platform ?

Just tried it in an IE-2000-16TC-G and it shows the full capacity:
Switch#dir sdflash:
Directory of sdflash:/
1 -rw- 159 Jul 21 2022 08:21:56 -05:00 env_vars
1018822656 bytes total (1018609664 bytes free)

I put it back into the IE-2000U and it still only shows 134MB. So, it seems to be IE-2000U specific. When I put it in a CGS-2520 it does the same thing... only shows 134MB.

- Use CISCO supported SD cards only , also use latest advisory release on the IE-2000U (if applicable) : https://software.cisco.com/download/home/285974825/type/280805680/release/15.2.7E2

Copy that, it's a Cisco 1GB SD Card(MEM-SD-1GB-RGD)...
Also, I am on ie2000u-lanbasek9-mz.152-8.E2... just to make sure there wasn't any crazy going on at the earlier versions.

I do not see anything wrong here.

IF the switch does not have an SD installed, this command will never work.

Gotcha, but the SD Card IS in the IE-2000U and has been in the switch while giving all the information above. It was only out if I was testing it in another switch. I have always placed it back in and checked it again before giving any further information.

The SD card are optional purchase.
Maybe one unit has an SD card and another unit does not.

All the switches have their own SD Card and all of the SD Cards that are in the switches are Cisco SD Cards(SD-IE-1GB).

When you place it back , check the logs (show logging) , check if anything unusual is being reported

Hey marce1000, the log shows the following when I take the SD Card out and put it back in.
000378: Jul 22 2022 07:20:03.374: %FLASH-1-DEVICE_REMOVED: Flash device removed
000379: Jul 22 2022 07:20:05.715: %FLASH-6-DEVICE_INSERTED: Flash device inserted
Even went into yesterday's log and saw the same...
000097: Jul 21 2022 08:23:47.204: %FLASH-1-DEVICE_REMOVED: Flash device removed
000098: Jul 21 2022 08:23:49.209: %FLASH-1-DEVICE_REMOVED: Flash device removed
000099: Jul 21 2022 08:23:51.508: %FLASH-6-DEVICE_INSERTED: Flash device inserted
000100: Jul 21 2022 09:06:19.846: %FLASH-1-DEVICE_REMOVED: Flash device removed
I just took the SD Card out of the IE-2000U, put it in the IE-2000, did a format sdflash:, and when I put it back in the IE-2000U the following happened:
mifs[10]: Invalid dir sctr=1
mifs[10]: directory[1] is corrupted! Attempting to restore it
mifs[10]: 0 files, 1 directories
mifs[10]: Total bytes : 134086656
mifs[10]: Bytes used : 8192
mifs[10]: Bytes available : 134078464
mifs[10]: mifs fsck took 1 seconds.
but the log just shows the normal "removed and inserted" information.
000526: Jul 22 2022 07:59:00.630: %FLASH-1-DEVICE_REMOVED: Flash device removed
000527: Jul 22 2022 07:59:03.004: %FLASH-6-DEVICE_INSERTED: Flash device inserted

- Try fsck sdflash:
