Hi,Switching
I have recently tried to install a couple of these switches but even though they are considered "Industrial" they don't seem to talk profinet. Their big sister the IE3000 or greater all talk profinet but are much bigger and more expensive devices. These are an ideal physical size and build for connecting to remote I/O in industrial cabinets and picking up all the remote devices that need to be on the network.
Does anyone know if it is possible to get the IE1000 to be profinet compatible or if there are updates to be release the will provide profinet functionality in the near future?

- Datasheet does not mention Profinet for IE1000 whereas it does for IE3000 (indeed) , that usually means it will not be available for that model in the future neither.

Hi
Comparing both switche´s Data Sheet, we can clealy see that the information below appear only in 3K:
● PROFINET v2 certification, with PROFINET conformance class B compliance
Even IE2000 supports but IE1000 does not mention anything about Profinet.

Hi,
Don't think the IE1000 will do that. You will have to look at the IE2000 and up.
Thanks
