two switches are connected through an interface
on both the interfaces "channel-group" command is not present (they are not part of any port channel)
neither any port channel is created on any of the switches ("sh run int port-channel xyz" doesn't show anything)
however, there is one port channel on both sides which shows respective interfaces to be a part of it
trying to figure out why
Switch A Model & IOS -> WS-C3850-12XS (cat3k_caa-universalk9 03.07.04E)
Switch B Model & IOS -> WS-C3850-24XS (cat3k_caa-universalk9 03.07.04E)

Hello
@indiankhiladi wrote:There is no configuration related to any port-channel (say Po1 on both sides) in the running config ("sh run int po1" doesn't show anything) (on both switches)
Interesting is that still one port-channel (say Po1 on both sides) shows Gi0/0/0 to be its member. (sh int po1) (on both switches)
Not sure i understand , You say you have a port-channel applied but it no physical interfaces shows any port-channel configuration, The you say you dont see any port-channel in the running config but then you say you do?
Are you aware you can create logical PC's without specifying any physical interfaces? - Have you tried reloading the switch it could be a ghost entry from a previous change?

Hello
Did you try reloading the switches?, If these are in production then obviously dont do the reload unless somehow this is negating your connectivity, which i doubt it will be?

Hello
It could be a ghost configuration that after a reload would clear, However saying that can you post what you are seeing to clarify
