I have a strange problem. I'm trying to upgrade the IOS on a C3750 & C3850 switches using Solarwinds TFTP server. I can initiate the IOS to from the TFTP to the switch. From the console: It seems to run (displays !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...) then I get %Error reading tftp://..... (Transfer aborted). On the TFTP console the message "GET. Dropped because peer didn't respond" followed by "interrupted by client, received error packet with code: 0 and message: Session terminated.
It appears I can sent config files between (either direction) the tftp: and flash: all day long without any problems, so I know it's not a connectivity issue between the server and switch. In addition, I can upgrade the IOS on C3560, 3560CX, 29XX, all day long successfully w/o problems. But cannot successfully upgrade IOS on 3750 & 3850....What is the magic? Has anybody seen this problem before?

Hi,
Try another tftp server like Tftpd64.
Thanks

are you actually trying to boot using tftp, or are you pumping the ios file across with tftp?
use ftp to transfer file, its much quicker.
