Hi all,
Can I upgrade the below Cisco 3850 stack to Denali 16.3.6 with different h/w versions. I have successfully upgraded for other switches from 03.06.00E version, but there was not much difference in h/w versions (maybe just one version lower). Or the h/w versions doesn't matter?
SW01#show switch
Switch/Stack Mac Address : 6899.cd64.5700 - Local Mac Address
Mac persistency wait time: Indefinite
H/W Current
Switch# Role Mac Address Priority Version State

2 Standby 6899.cdc8.ba00 1 0 Ready

Hi,
You should be able to upgrade your switch stack. The hardware version does not affect the upgrade.
Thanks

Hi,
You can install the mentioned version but Cisco recommended version is "16.3.7". So try to go with 16.3.7 if there is no special requirement. If there any special requirement then also visit "cisco feature navigator" to verify that is your required protocol or services available on 16.3.7 or not.
