I understand that the Catalyst 3560 supports basic IP routing by default. We would like to use the switch for inter-VLAN routing, however, our configuration requires the use of the IP Helper command to forward broadcast packets to a DHCP server located on a different VLAN than the clients. Do we require Advanced IP routing functionality in order to use the IP Helper command on the Catalyst switch? If so, do we need to perform a firmware upgrade or purchase another license to obtain this functionality?
Thanks

you shouldn't need any more than the smi to support helper addressing. its an interface level command
