Is FEX member not allowed to create port channel to extended switch?

Command rejected (Port-channel100, Gi171/1/0/1): Cross-chassis bundle can have only core ports

trying to create port channel to pointed interface below with getting this error

May I know any resolution for this? or this is the limitation of fex?

We manage to connect few switch to this fex client , we are now facing problem on creating port channel for the uplink interface to this fex client for throughput expansion.

Hope this clarifies.

Nexus FEX we could able to create a Port-channel - but Looks like there is limitation here.

But you can create a Trunk if that works for you-

– Configuring EtherChannels with combination of FEX Ports from different FEX-IDs or combination of FEX ports with IA parent switch linecard ports is not supported. However, FEX host port channel from the same FEX is supported

- FEX host port EtherChannel load balancing is not supported.

==>> you need at least  a different channel number for the link to the 3850
