May be its a newbei question. But i want to get it clarified.
My question is , if i go for any core switch bundle like
WS-C4503E-S6L-48V+ |
Its comes with lan base image by default. I have gone through many document , but still i confused because if i select 3560 lan base it doesnt support layer 3 like inter vlan routing. The same way with 4503 switch also, if i select lan base does it support layer 3??
Layer 3 feature like:
Inter VLAN routing
VLAN access list
DHCP server
HSRP
??
Thanks for your support

Lan base is for layer 2
See here:
Cisco IOS XE Software LAN Base: This image provides Layer 2 features for campus access.
●
Cisco IOS XE Software IP Base: this image is upgradable with a software activation license (SAL). It
includes all Layer 2 features and some basic Layer 3 features. ISSU/SSO is supported in this package.
●
Cisco IOS XE Software Enterprise Services: This image is upgradable with a SAL; it supports full Layer 3
protocols and advanced features such as complete routing scalability, BGP, VRF, Policy-Based Routing,
and so on.

Serge,
I don't believe 4500 IOS supports FULL VRF. 4500 only supports VRF-lite.
