You looking to change MTU Jumbo frames between switches or across other connected ports ?

make sure other side also support jumboframes. (if not lead to different outcome or may not work) - A port drops any frames that exceed its MTU size.

Thank for the doc. Another question is the trunk port MTU. Since the storage array and the server are not connected to the same switch, do I also need to change MTU on the trunk ports?

access or trunk port is classify as L2 port, @marce1000  provide you excellent doc. about how you config L2 port MTU.
